11 May Clearing the Way: A Day of Storm Relief and Community Connection for PAR Volunteers on May 9 {Photos}
On Friday, May 9, 2025, PAR volunteers stepped up to help neighbors in Limestone and Madison Counties recover from storm damage.
At one property, the team cleared limbs and cut through the massive 55-inch trunk of a fallen water oak tree. The homeowner—a 98-year-old man who still drives 30 miles to church—joined the effort, hauling debris with his decades-old tractor.
Next, volunteers tackled another large tree on Indian Creek in the Monrovia area, then wrapped up the day cutting a downed Leyland cypress in the Copperfield subdivision.
It was a full day of hard work, but also a reminder: service isn’t just about cleanup—it’s about connection. We’re grateful to serve our neighbors here at home.
