06 Feb Responding in the Cold: PAR Deploys to Ripley, MS, After Devastating Ice Storm {Photos}
Since Tuesday, January 30, 2026, PAR teams have worked in Ripley, Mississippi, responding to the severe ice storm on January 25. Partnering with God’s Pit Crew, our team has had boots on the ground providing hands-on assistance to residents facing significant storm damage.
Many households in Ripley have remained without power and water for more than a week following the storm. Despite freezing temperatures and difficult conditions, our volunteers have been working steadily to cut and remove trees and limbs—some fallen on homes, many scattered across yards—helping restore safety for affected families. This it a true team response, possible through strong partnerships and a shared commitment to serve communities in crisis.
Additional photos from this deployment can be found on our PAR Facebook page.
We appreciate the dedication of those serving on the ground and continue to pray for those who are recovering from the storm.
